Tropical Breezes
This week we flew over to Polynesia. OK , TP’d actually….my arms get sooo tired flying! LOL
It was a very relaxing weekend. The sim is in Showcase, so I expected lots of green dots, but there weren’t many people. Maybe it’s too new yet.
The music is nice; native songs and island sounds. There are a few shops open (and some to rent) and a relaxing bar/dance space.
All in all, a good place to go for some R and R.
Forever Amber
This weekend our journey takes us to the Forever sim, the home and venue of SL musician Keith Marsden and his lovely partner eviebaby Juliesse. SLURL Forever 173.52.22
It’s an island with the theme of England in the Tudor era. Richly detailed and well laid out, it has lots of variety of content; but it’s so well done that you never get the sense of clutter.
A pirate ship is docked in the harbor, outside the village. (more on that in a minute) Up the hill from the landing point are farmlands, a really well done woods (not just some trees in one area) a castle and chapel, and country houses, that are for rent.
I talked with eviebaby upon landing and found that the person who created their village had suddenly upped the cost and when they didn’t want to pay the surprise additional amount, he took back the buildings! No way to do business, IMO. So the village is temporarily absent. They will rebuild, so please consider returning at a later date.
As always, check out the group gallery on koinup.com: Wandering Photographers of SL.
Winter Wonderful
This past weekend we visite Cap Estel, a beautiful nature park by Maurice Messmer. It’s been winterized with what I consider to be some of the loveliest winter foliage in SL.
See what I mean?
New Year – New Travels
Here we are starting out once again. A new year, a fresh attitude, a renewed sense of purpose….ready? Let’s go!
Our first expedition for 2010 is to Garden of Dreams. It’s a two sim region with towering rock formations, majestic trees, soaring canyons – yes it really is that big. Pack a wide-angle lens for this trip. *wink
Party!
Hedda Hazelnut has done a wonderful job of organizing our first group party. It will be held on Saturday, December 12, at 12 noon, at the club house. YAY!

Refresh!
Oh my…I’ve been neglecting this blog, haven’t I? Well then, let’s catch up.
We have jouneyed to 18 places in Second Life so far. Several countries, many local regions of the USA, and a few that exist only in SL. Where to next? Give me more suggestions!
The latest is The Nordic sims of Sarek and Lapplandia. Beautiful landscapes. Jesper Prinz is the owner. Here are some pics.

New Site For Pictures
We now have a group on koinup.com. Post your pix there. Of course, you can still post on here. Maybe we could have reviews of the sims we visit.
Da Vinci Gardens: What a diverse and magical place!
I could have spent hours wandering around. I made it to the Jules Verne area, the greco-roman towers, the oasis tent and the tropical island (got to play the fog horn). The details were really impressive. Great choice of venue. Some of my pics:
Tropical Island:

Whale – Jules Verne Area. Took a gander outside the underwater structure. You could hear the whales sing. Pretty amazing.
